: Oh, come now. The fact of the matter is that when a guy goes out on a date, the worst he could expect is an unfulfilling evening. The worst a woman could expect is to be raped and assaulted. Could you possibly imagine having to factor that into your day-to-day? It is not a situation of equal peril.
You are certainly right that more women get date raped/assaulted than men. I never disputed this. But surely you're not suggesting that an act of violence committed against a woman is more unjust than a similar act of violence committed against a man. This seems to be the opinion of the previous poster as well as most of America.
: Am I skipping that section of the paper that reports on the rash of violence wherein women batter men? That is a non-issue, dude. Rape and battery are all too daily occurances, and out of the many of the women you know (your family, friends), you would be really surprised to find out how many had been assaulted at one point in their lives. Women don't batter men. (Or if they do, it is an anomoly, when compared to the massive numbers and instances the other way around.)
Women don't batter men? It must be a nice world you live on. A world populated entirely with virtuous, angelic women. But down here on Earth, that just ain't the case, buddy. Domestic abuse committed against women is, of course, more frequent but, again, I'm not disputing that. Just read my response to your last paragraph of logorrhea. Then read it again. And again until you understand it.
If you need proof that women are capable of acts of violence every bit as evil as their male counterparts then try searching the web for 'Myra Hindley'.
Class dismissed.
