To get a break from all this depressing rape talk (every one in three women?! Sweet Jesus, I didn't know it was that high), here's some directorial news for you kind folks about the Daredevil movie. I don't know Jack Diddley Shit about 'devil, but you all seem to like it and I like you, so I bring tidings.
From Cinescape:

:Johnson Eyeing ‘Daredevil’
:Sony Entertainment/Columbia Pictures continues to be aggressive with the Marvel Comic character movie properties they're developing with word of negotiations with a potential director for the Daredevil movie.
:According to a number of sources, writer-director Mark Steven Johnson (Simon Birch) is in talks to take on the big screen version of the "Man Without Fear."
:Daredevil tells the story of Matt Murdock, a crusading lawyer who was blinded as a youth while saving another person from being hit by a careening truck. In the process, Murdock was also struck in the head by a canister that contained an unknown radioactive material. Though unable to see, Murdock soon learned that the freak accident also granted him a radar-like ability that allowed him to "see," as well as detecting objects and people out of what would be a normal person’s sight range. Murdock then took on the red devil suit of Daredevil to fight crime in the night while dealing out justice during the day through his law practice.
:Daredevil is just one of three high profile Marvel character projects in the works at Sony. Most prominent of the pack is Spider-Man, with Sam Raimi said to be attached. Production on Spidey starts in the spring. Meanwhile, Sony also has the rights to Doctor Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts, which, as previously reported, has an interested Chuck Russell (Eraser, The Mask) looking to write and helm.
:Daredevil will likely be produced by Marvel’s Avi Arad with Johnson's partner, Gary Foster.
