I've personally taken part in prosecuting 5 men in 4 rape cases, all of them justly acquitted.
You see, unfortunately, it would appear there's women who will claim that they have been raped to merely protect themselves in someway. One of the women was married and got pregnant, her husband was incapable of doing this, so she claimed was raped. One contracted a STD and passed it on to her hubby, she also claimed to have contracted it when raped. One's husband simply heard she left a bar with an individual, she later claimed raped her. One wanted to leave Korea so bad, she slept with two people and claimed they raped her.
I'm not making this up, here's actual testimony from the Korea scenario:
DEFENSE COUNSEL (DC): Now, you say the accused moved towards your face holding his penis, is that correct?
VICTIM: Yes.
DC: So what did you do when he did this?
VICTIM: I opened my mouth.
DC: Why did you do that?
VICTIM: It was a natural reflex.
DC: Why wouldn't your natural reflex in a situation like this have been to turn your head away?
VICTIM: I didn't want to get poked in the eye.
**The accused was acquitted and the charges on the other accused dropped.
The five individuals who were accused of rape probably never really recovered from their experience with due process. You see, they were pretty much convicted the minute they were accused. They had the threat of going to jail looming over them for sometimes up to 7 months, they lost some friends, some suffered alienation from family members, and they all lost their jobs as a direct result of this.
I'm not saying that women are liars, rape doesn’t happen, or we need to be more sensitive to this that or the next. What I’m trying to say is that all these posts seem rather knee-jerk in nature. Every individual situation is different and should be treated as such. Ever heard of a masochists? It appears they enjoy being beaten while fucked. I’m also led to believe they are both male and female and it's their God given right to practice this. I'm sorry that women walk around in fear of being raped, but sadly, I walk around in fear of being falsely accused. That's all it takes.
Additionally I must say, having the wife of the board owner shielding me from these awful hooligan fans (what’s next – unsavory Howard Stern fans?) by deleting posts and claiming to be doing me and my whole gender a “favor” is really lame. But having the owner chime in with “Yes dear, thanks for teaching us all that beating women and raping them is bad, you’re the greatest.” is the just lamest fucking thing I’ve ever seen here. Even lamer than DJ Andy.
