You may be looking a little too deep in this. I think it may have more to do with people simply wanting Kevin and Jen to read their post and think "Hey SO AND SO is good person". I'm sure they probably all agree with Kevin and Jen's stance on violence, but I doubt they put as much thought as they are trying to project. But they could be sheep, I dunno.
