Thats because they didnt build them. Its also interesting to note that in Chicken in mexico around 2500BC the mayan pyramids where also built. In egyptian mythology it was beleived that slaves where taken to heaven to build temples for their gods... Living in a desert area, the egyptians would find fertile areas ( ie the nile ) to be the best possible environment.. what i beleive is they were transported by space ship to mexico, where they built the mayan pyramids.. that would explain why the builders of the mayan pyramids vanished off the face of the earth.
