A problem with Bart & Loki's plan

the plan being this: 1) kill people outside of the church, thus making themselves targets of the police. 2) transubstantiate. 3) walk through the arches to be absolved of their recently committed sins. 4) get killed by the police, and go home.

The problem being this: they would be committing suicide, because they WANTED the police to kill them. Thus, they would be sent to hell due to this being a mortal sin. Most people think of suicide as slitting one's wrists, hanging oneself, or going out Cobain-style. ...but its not really how you do it, but that you're willingly causing your death to happen.
