Couple of Dogma observations/questions...

Two things I've noticed in Dogma that I was wondering if anyone can clarify...
a) In the airport, Bartleby spits out his popcorn into another box (a la Metatron and alcohol)... anyone know why?

b) Is there any significance to the reversed colors of Bartleby and Loki's hoods and undershirts... (One has gray shirt and red hood, the other is switched)
