It's still kind of a thrill when I see you in a magazine or doing an interview, Kevin. I still remembering that scintillating conversation in the rain after seeing TALK 16 in Vancouver. I've meant to get in touch with you many times, but it sort of seems awkward. I'm pretty sure I was the first one you spoke to after announcing you were leaving VFS to make a film called "The Clerk", you said. I was pissed because I tried to get into the Toronto festival DOGMA premiere last year, and flew down a day early, but my reserve ticket-pack fell through and I ended up seeing L'HUMANITIE (which surprisingly, I found pretty interesting).
I did make a feature called UNSPOKEN (some info at distributor site www.maplelake.mb.ca), and still work in film, mostly doing nostalgic fodder for the CBC right now. I just couldn't let anymore time go without thanking you for the work (and for reminding me over and over of your success). Hopefully sometime, I'll see you in a video store or at another festival. I can imagine your collection has been soaring...Take care
