: I still remembering that scintillating conversation in the rain after seeing TALK 16 in Vancouver. I'm pretty sure I was the first one you spoke to after announcing you were leaving VFS to make a film called "The Clerk", you said.
You were, Tony. God - those were the days when I'd see three or four movies a day because it was the weekend and I was trapped in Vancouver. Fucking Mosier couldn't be bothered to take the drive into the city from Port Moody, so I'd be at those mall theatre ticket counters saying "One, please."
But I do remember talking to you outside the mall that day. It was raining, wasn't it?
: I was pissed because I tried to get into the Toronto festival DOGMA premiere last year, and flew down a day early, but my reserve ticket-pack fell through and I ended up seeing L'HUMANITIE (which surprisingly, I found pretty interesting).
Next time (if we ever get to play Toronto with anything again), ask one of the ticket guys or fest people to grab me. I could've gotten you in, no prob. I'm usually hanging around a back room smoking before the flick starts.
: I did make a feature called UNSPOKEN (some info at distributor site www.maplelake.mb.ca)
I'll check it out. Thanks for posting. Me and Mosier sometimes wonder what our classmates are upto, and you always come up - if not for the kick-ass skater documentary, then for the Darcy dildo-chucking incident.
Check in again, when you get a chance.
