And as for a Clerks play...I just don't think it could work. While it'd work well on stage dialogue-wise, the sets would be a problem. A full-fledged Quick Stop set would work, but for scenes in the video store and whatnot...well, those would have to be scrapped. There we lose some of Randal's funnier stuff. But I guess you could work around it. But, realistically speaking, who'd pay 8 bucks to watch a play based on a movie which they can rent for 99 cents? Absolutely no one. Musicals are different. Movies BASED ON plays are different. But plays based on movies are almost never good.

Case in point: CANNIBAL THE MUSICAL.

What a shitty fucking stageplay.
