Hi there, I know this topic came up last year, because I did a search first, but all the links to the old posts are dead. What ever happened to the concept? I think its a great idea, and I'm sure a lot of people agree. The nature of the script is well suited to stage and would require very little re-writing. If Kevin and ViewAskew can be convinced, I for one will devote as much of my time to making it a reality, as possible. I heard suggestions that there are troubles surrounding the rights, and miramax, but that's about it. What exactly are the details with these rights does anyone know? Are there concessions to student amature and non-professional theatrical companies?
And has Kevin considered writing for stage before. His style, I feel, often has elements of a contempory Samuel Beckett.
The other film which I'm thinking could make a sucessful stage adaption is not so much a view askew item but is one close to the heart of Silent Bob at least. Breakfast Club.
Any feedback?
