Yeah, I tend to agree with you on the A.F.I.'s from last night. Personally though, I was pretty sure none of the Askew flicks would make it. I think there were some great choices but lets face it, not everyone likes these movies. Yeah, Clerks is great, but outside of said box office and video viewers, how many really huge fans are there of his work, not including those on this board? I don't mean that as a slam at all, just that some people don't get this kind of humor. Were there some poor choices on the list, sure, but you live with it. It takes different strokes to move the world. I love all of Kevin's movies but lets face it, if Chasing Amy didn't get nominated for best screenplay at the oscars, then none of the others are going to be nominated for much else either, A.F.I. etc. Then again, that's just my opinion, although I must admit Ghostbusters was a little too far down on the list for me. I'd take it over Tootsie any day of the week. So, take it as it is, and let the issue go.
