Ok...here are some of my thoughts on the whole AFI thing, as well as some others (of course)

I agree wholeheartedly with what you said, Weisenheimer. Beyond the fan base we have have here, there are few people who are really even familiar with Kevin, VA, etc. I really didn't think that 'Clerks' would make the list, even though--looking at some of the stupid movies that made it--it should of at least been on there somewhere. I'm very very happy that 'Some Like it Hot' got #1. Marilyn Monroe was an incredible comedic actress, in my opinion.

Lately I've found myself trying to expose all my friends and their mothers to our beloved View Askew movies. Here is an example of the exchange I go through every time I mention the name 'Kevin Smith':

Me: Hey, you like Kevin Smith movies?
Them: Who the Hell is Kevin Smith?
Me: The genius behind such pictures as 'Clerks' and 'MallRats'. He is also known as Silent Bob.
Them: Oh wasn't he in 'Chasing Amy' and 'Dogma'?
Me: Yes

Before it sounds like I'm underminding 'Chasing Amy' and 'Dogma', I'd like to point that that is not the case at all. It simply annoys me slightly that the only movies they are familiar with are thise two. Since I work at a video shop, it is so my job and duty to educate the children! Oh yes....

Enough. Keep the camera rolling, kiddies.

who will be lucky if even one of her movies ever gets passed the living room showing
