The movie spoke to me on another level because I have a friend who is bombastically funny, angry, frighteningly quick and smart, talented as ANYONE I've ever met, (and a porn-hound), who has been my best friend & confidant since childhood.

Fact is, I love the guy like he was my brother. He was my best man at my wedding, and will be my best friend forever. And I'm sure, he feels the same towards me,most of the time, but I'm pretty sure that he had conflicting "gay crush" feelings toward me during a confused stage of his life. It think it was, in a similar fashion to Banky, a matter of emotional closeness and "intimacy" which somewhere crossed a line.. Its nothing we would ever discuss, and I *know* he would never take any leap and be out and out GAY, 24-7 , all day, every day... Further, I'm pretty sure he's back from that line, and has been for some time, and considers me more as a brother.

But by the same token, I think, for a while at least, until he sorted out some of his shit, he was "in love" with me, on a level. When emotions run that "hot" in terms of signal output, they can make "shell jumps" from one sphere to the next, I think.

Anyway, my friend is not *GAY*, he would never cruise... But that don't mean that he was never in love with a guy.
