Darth gets it.
Lucifer gets it.
Forget SR for a sec.
I'm a little blown away by how many OTHER folks don't seem to get it.
I mean, the guy included the LINK, fer cryin' out loud.
I seem to remember a Psych. 101 tool (Psychology On A Disc, prosasically enough) which used pretty much a lesser version of the same application to create a standard psychological profile for everyone who used it, regardless of how they answered preliminary questions on the program.
That several users on this WWWBoard miss that confirms a suspicion I've had reading over this last board (and the one before that...and the one before that)...
WWWViewAskew is merely suffering from what I'll call "Summer Vacation Syndrome."
I don't even have to explain that, do I?
Know what a good way to discern the average age of most users on the board these days is? It's those "Which ViewAskew Flick Is The Best?"-poll questions.
The lower you see "Chasing Amy," the younger the user (this can be contrasted with how high "Mallrats" or "clerks." appears on these lists).
Why is "Chasing Amy" the catalyst?
Well, I still maintain that films such as "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Seven" (to say nothing of "Fight Club") SHOULD be rated NC-17 (or the EBert-suggested A-rating for "Adult"). This would not be for anything SEEN or DEPICTED, but rather for theme and content...
"Eyes Wide Shut" is about a level of sexual-jealousy and emotional intimidation that no one under 17 SHOULD know about. Not for moral reasons, but we are just not developed to that point before that age; case closed.
Ditto "Chasing Amy."
If a viewer finds "Chasing Amy" boring or unengaging...well, draw your own conclusions.
