It's a guessing-game, okay, but it shouldn't be too terribly difficult.
First, I need to reiterate a coupla points I made below so please bear with me...:

WWWViewAskew is merely suffering from what I'll call "Summer Vacation Syndrome."
I don't even have to explain that, do I?
: Know what a good way to discern the average age of most users on the board these days is? It's those "Which ViewAskew Flick Is The Best?"-poll questions.
The lower you see "Chasing Amy," the younger the user (this can be contrasted with how high "Mallrats" or "clerks." appears on these lists).

: Well, I still maintain that films such as "Eyes Wide Shut" and "Seven" (to say nothing of "Fight Club") SHOULD be rated NC-17 (or the EBert-suggested A-rating for "Adult"). This would not be for anything SEEN or DEPICTED, but rather for theme and content...
"Eyes Wide Shut" is about a level of sexual-jealousy and emotional intimidation that no one under 17 SHOULD know about. Not for moral reasons, but we are just not developed to that point before that age; case closed.

If a viewer finds "Chasing Amy" boring or unengaging...well, draw your own conclusions.

Recently, an extremely regular contributor to this board confided to me that he was all of 13 (I won't say who just in case he doesn't want you to know that), but this revelation just blew me away...
It explained to me why some folks seem ever-present on here, and why they take to adolescent-style whining whenever they get "beat-up" on here. Good Lord, you'd think some of them had literally been battered in some cases, noses runny with mucous and blood.
It would also explain the strange misunderstanding (even fear) of women and sex that I see displayed on this board time and time again.
If L******* is only 13, how old would you guess that StygianRules is (hint: Note who, in all of the Askewniverse he identifies with...that's right!)
How about Tha Dude?
No matter what he says, if Tha Dude is older than 15 then he's a seriously stunted individual...
Ditto Joey cheri popper (hint: Think of the sexual experience his handle implies...right!)...
I could go on and on...but next time a thread causes you to yawn or go cross-eyed when what you really want to do is to get some college-level discussion of a ViewAskew-related item going (I mean, college-age is where "clerks." takes off from...What are these kids doing watching anyway?)
I've wondered if it would be cooler to create an Adults-Only board to discuss TeamAskew's work...but it wouldn't really matter. All that needs to happen is that the adult individuals who turn up around here (if there really are that many) get the ole' conversation-ball a-rollin'.
As for those bore us (or just flat-out piss us off from time to time), come September, they'll be a lot less present than these dog days for the board.
To shine these folks on, we should just throw *NT* numbers out to their little wet-tantrums and see just how close to their boners we hew.
Remember, the generation who accused William of being a "stupid-head" are of net-age and we're just now beginning to reap their...er, presence.
