Can you dub off of DVD? In ask this because, previous to the purchase of a $30 transformer doohicky, my DVD was hooked up to my VCR and the picture was scrambled, even when though vcr was basically just acting as a reciever (it wasn't recording, actually there wasn't even a tape in it). I figured that the DVD's were programmed to scramble, just like some videos are.
