From Newsarama:
"One of the major highlights at Saturday's DC panel came late in the
presentation, during a Q&A when an irreverent voice from the back of the room
asked when the company was going to stop talking about all of these
bullshit projects and talk about the really cool stuff.
That voice, as it turned out, belonged to Kevin Smith, who made his way to
the front of the room and officially announced his year-long Green Arrow
project. An art team of Phil Hester and Ande Park has been tabbed for the
project, and DC even had a slide of preliminary art from the series,
featuring a rather Silver Age-esque Oliver Queen as Green Arrow, complete
with a boxing glove arrow.
During the brief Q&A with Smith, the writer answered fans' questions about
the series, revealing such tidbits as: Conner Hawke will make an appearance,
and his relationship with Queen will be addressed, as well as Oliver's
relationship with Black Canary. Smith also said that he's requested that
Green Arrow not join with any teams or appear in many other titles during his
year-long stint with the character, something which will give him ample time
to clarify and straighten out some of the character's continuity troubles and
reveal just where he's been since Green Arrow #100, where it appeared that he
died.
'I'm not out to reinvent Green Arrow with this series," Smith said. "I'm
just out to tell good stories.'"
