First of all, I was wondering why these guys are arguing
about if Jesus was black or not. People get really
upset when someone says that Jesus was black like it's a
life changing discovery. I'm not saying "who cares!" about what the
movie had to say although, it's not saying much. 1) The commercialization of religion? ..now that seemed to take up about 20 min. of the movie. 2) A woman struggling to resolve her issues with faith..that's just not a unique OR provoking issue. Everyone deals with that. 3) What else was the movie
dealing with? I think it was trying to make fun of all the religion but
it wasn't any fun to watch..and not funny..it ws more like..oh! They got me there..almost..with that crazy dung monster..and although that
took up only 20 minutes of the film..it was ..and I'm not being mean here
just honest..kind of lame. Alot of it was kind of lame..I didn't want to use that mean
word before but it's true. At least to me..and everyone who was with me
when I was watching it..which was only my brother.. but he's a very receptive kind of guy. I mean..it could've been so good! You know, it built up right around the end when the two angels are there and then suddenly it was like that alternative ending on the Simpsons to Casablanca..yeah that's exactly what it was like..instead of some meaningful ending to give the whole movie some meaning..they get Allanis Morissette in a tutu as God to do handstands on a tree, and Bartleby gives her a hug and their all happy and then go home. and I was wondering if you could stop quoting what Isay like that..it's annoying. And don't quote me saying not to quote you either cause that would be even more annoying. No offense, it's just annoying.
