:Earlier today, Phil Benson
: from Skywalker digitized a tape using Adobe Premiere 5.1, and for
: whatever reason, we've been unable to get the soundtrack to the
: video sync up on the Pro-Tools.

I'm not sure if this will be helpfull at all, but as someone who's used Premire 5.1 quite a bit, i've noticed that the program is extreamly prone to going out of sync, especiall for longer projects, depending on how fast your computer is. For example, when we tried to edit some footage on an I-mac DV that we captured using a fire wire cable we were un able to get sync at all, where as, when we captured footage on a G4 powermac we were fine. Again, i don't know much about pro-tools or anything, but you may want to go back and check the clip in Premire to see if it's on sync.
My guess is that all this info was extreamly usless, but hopefully i'm worng.
