Not even comic fans give a shit about the moneky in Mallrats. The monkey was in one fucking issue of one fucking comic books and it had a very definite ending.

Do you really think that Kevin's ambition for VA5 is to finally make the over-the-top orangutuan movie that all his fans have been craving? Yeah, I can see it now, Jason Lee and a monkey. Now that's a concept I can get behind.

The monkey was a goofy joke at the end of the movie. Kevin made it into a comic because it worked as a funny way to tie up loose ends for his fans.

But if you really, really think that Kevin has a huge clandestine plan about working a fucking MONKEY into his films and comics, then may God Almighty have mercy on your soul.
