In Clerks they have a conversation about which movie they like better, Empire or Jedi, and then they debate whether or not the innocent contractors on the second death star deserve to die. They spent at least five to ten minutes of the movie blatantly discussing Star Wars movies. There was absolutely nothing subtle about it.
: : The other problem, it's blatant. The thing I love about Kevin's movies is the subtle humor. Yes, we all know that Star Wars references are a common link in all of the movies, but it's subtle.
: What are you talking about? In Mallrats, the Star Wars references are as subtle as Edward Norton's rape in American History X. There's nothing subtle about them, and they're plenty funny.
: The title is really, really cool. It's blatantness is the best part, damn it. In your face. Intensity in ten cities. The title gives me a lot of hope and sets just the perfect tone for me.
