"Eight Days a Week" ????

Last week I let a friend borrow my copy of Clerks,...when I got it back he thought it was hilarious and he said it reminded him of a movie he saw on TV. It was called "Eight Days a Week", I never saw it, but he said they kinda have the same sort of jokes. He said in one scene they talk about guys who try to suck their on dick. So I checked it out on IMDB and one of the recommendations was Dogma. Has anyone see this movie ? Are there any references to Clerks (or rats or amy)? Is it any good ?
