: How did Stanley Kubrik get by then?

Kubrick's death was entirely unexpected- the day before he died, he was by all accounts in great spirits following the enthusiastic reception EYES WIDE SHUT got in it's ultra-secret first screening to Tom and Nicole and the top Warner brass, and was on the phone with Jan Harlan in Los Angeles giving notes re: the Dominic Harlan re-recording of Gyorgy Ligeti's MIUSICA RICERCATA, II- by all accounts, he was absolutely fine that day (and for the months prior). That night, he had a massive and sudden heart attack in his sleep and died.

BTW, if anybody here is a Kubrick fan, check out alt.movies.kubrick- Kubrick's daughter Katherina posts there from time to time.

Oh, and to tie this in with View Askew- did you guys know that the day Kubrick died was the day we did the inserts/reshoots on DOGMA in NJ? Odd, eh?

And speaing of P.T. Anderson, while I'm sure Kevin will hate me even more now, I've come to realy like most of MAGNOLIA on subsequent viewings on DVD.

Vincent
