: : How did Stanley Kubrik get by then?

: Kubrick's death was entirely unexpected- the day before he died, he was by all accounts in great spirits following the enthusiastic reception EYES WIDE SHUT got in it's ultra-secret first screening to Tom and Nicole and the top Warner brass, and was on the phone with Jan Harlan in Los Angeles giving notes re: the Dominic Harlan re-recording of Gyorgy Ligeti's MIUSICA RICERCATA, II- by all accounts, he was absolutely fine that day (and for the months prior). That night, he had a massive and sudden heart attack in his sleep and died.

: BTW, if anybody here is a Kubrick fan, check out alt.movies.kubrick- Kubrick's daughter Katherina posts there from time to time.

: Oh, and to tie this in with View Askew- did you guys know that the day Kubrick died was the day we did the inserts/reshoots on DOGMA in NJ? Odd, eh?

: And speaing of P.T. Anderson, while I'm sure Kevin will hate me even more now, I've come to realy like most of MAGNOLIA on subsequent viewings on DVD.

: Vincent
