I believe I've come across some new info that might shed a bit more light on the whole Morning Star thing. (from Last Board)
I got this info at CapAlert (good for a few, nay, MANY laughs), of all places. Go Figure:
>>>Used primarily as a tool in witchcraft for conjuring evil spirits, the pentagram/pentacle is also is used the mean "Morning Star": a name claimed by Satan; a name claimed in mockery because it is also one of the names Jesus uses: [Rev. 22:16] "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." While some believe the circle around the five-point star is symbolic of focusing the power of Satan, I suspect the pentagram/pentacle is also symbolic of the wishes of occultists and satanists to confine the power of the true Morning Star.
Now, whether this helps or not, I just though I'd share it with everyone.
Of course, this whole debate means nil, since this maybe-minor-flub would take nothing away from Dogma.
But it's something to talk about.
Sincerely,
St. Cyril.
