Nope I disagree (which is ok it prevents boredom).
I believe they were killed and now sit outside the gates of heaven forever as God decreed in the first place.
That's why God changed the street as if nothing happened, and since Wisconsin was hell to Bartleby & Loki they got relocated to outside the gates of Heaven instead of a harsh punishment being to join Azrael in the shit pits of Hell.
