Ok...I've seen Chasing Amy about 5 times, including last night. I thought it was a really good movie, but obviously more dramatic than comedic. I liked it. The entire movie made sense, to me, UNTIL one part, in which I understood it, but was very puzzling to me. I had a vague idea of what was going on. It was clear throughout the entire movie that Banky was jealous of Alyssa, and made fun of her for being a 'dyke', because to me, it was evident he had latent homosexual feelings for Holden. Am I even in the ballpark with this? The part I'm talking about, is when Holden presents the idea to Alyssa and Banky of a 3-way, to which Banky accepts and Alyssa doesn't. What does this say about Holden? Are all three of them bisexual or what? At the end, when they're at the comic con, Holden and Banky exchange nods, and Banky gives a thumbs up. What does this mean? And understanding between each other that Holden knows Banky is gay? It was very confusing to me. I asked friends of mine and my girlfriend what they thought, and they don't know either. Thanks to anyone who could make some clarification of this.
