: I was a big fan of the first one, it was a great big dumb grade "B" movie with lots of likable performances. Fraser (spelling?) was and is one of my favorite actors (hated him early on, and then the dude went and took a sabbatical or something and came back talented), and he nailed the smart ass dashing hero better than anyone since Bruce Campbell. That, plus Rachel, uh, sounds like Vice and John Hannah plus sub-jason and the argonauts special f/x made for a great time.
: The sequel, it's a not-so-good. Not bad, I liked it, but it lost much of the charm of the original. Fraser didn't get to do much (Rachel sounds like Vice walked away with the movie, along with Oded Fehr), the funny moments were drowned out by the endless amounts of Mortal Kombat-CGI (too much too much too much), and the kid got on my nerves.
: There was good stuff. The reunion of all the characters was cool, chick fights, sure, the lil' Pygmy mummies outside scorpian king's pyramid, the double decker bus chasse, Rachel sounds like Vice's outfits, Oded Fehr, the bad black bald dude from Oz as the Mummy's second in command, there was alot to like.
: And alot of dead space in between.
