Yes, he did ruin Airheads. He wasn't good in it at all, but IF HE was, that movie would have ruled so much, what with all the funny funny writing and excellent direction.
Fraser WAS bad for a long, long time. Your AIRHEADS ,ENCINO MAN, your SCHOOL TIES (but even without him, the damn thing was a TV movie of the week from the get-go), both bad movies that his mediocre performance didn't help.
But then he made a deal with Satan, or took acting lessons or something, and came back and delivered in a bunch of good movies---
GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE (f you, it's a good movie, ask anyone, and he carried it).
BLAST FROM THE PAST (Fraser+Walken+Spacek+Foley=Underrated Comedy)
GODS AND MONSTERS
GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE (not great, but Fraser was)
BEDAZZLED (again, carried the movie, with around 10 great, different characters)
THE MUMMY
He also takes some pretty cool chances, with your MONKEYBONE (edited to death, but Henry Selick's first live action movie had some great, bizarre moments), AND he was amazing on Saturday Night Live, AND cameoed in KIDS IN THE HALL:BRAIN CANDY.
That's why I likes me the Fraser. Call it gay if you will, just because I enjoy the dude's acting, and, sure, want to have sex with him.
