Maybe it's just me, but it seems easier to write something like that down on paper, then type it up on computer. When you're on a word processor, all the extra crap they have on the screen (you know, the shit you never use but it's there anyway, just in case you needed to insert a Microsoft Excel worksheet or a table or whatever into your doc.) just seems to distract me. But then, all writers have different ways to approach their craft.
