They are apparently planning both. Clerks the Animated Movie AND a new incarnation of Clerks the Cartoon somewhere on a yet to be disclosed network (rumor is that it's Mtv but that's unconfirmed). Kevin actually hinted at this plan in a post a couple weeks ago. There ya go.
