I, for one, don't appreciate sitting on a bench enjoying myself, when some asshole plops down a lights a cigarette.
"Hey, Chico, that smoke doesn't just encircle you. You might be trying to get Eddie Van Halen syndrome, but I chose not to smoke for a reason. Smoke in your fucking house, please."
Some of my friends are smokers, and I don't let them smoke around me; I'm just totally against it. I hope for their sake that cigarettes don't taste as bad as they smell.
Look, if you smoke, I don't have a problem with it. If you want teeth the color of my urine, great. If you want to huff and puff after going up a flight of stairs, excellent. If you want to smell like a tavern after going back to work/school from your smoke break, more power to ya. Like I said, I don't have a problem with you smoking; I just have a problem with you doing it within a mile radius from me.
As I once saw on a bumper sticker, "Smokers suck. Fuck up your own air." If these ads can prevent future smokers from being future smokers, more power to them. If they can help current smokers quit, excellent. Keep the ads going.
