I still think this is hysterical - but this is exactly the type of thing that I can't read too much of, or I'll start to get extremely irritated by it.
"Many movies hturT us in ways we may not understand. And, yes, "hturT" is correct. It is reversed Truth, twisted and counterfeited beyond recognition and shows the hidden and sometimes invisible hurt in doing so. "
What the fuck is this shit? They are talking about a movie that featured a Shit Demon as a dangerous enemy - one that was defeated with breath freshener, I might add.
Nothing is more irritating than a person who recognizes their faith or beliefs as "fact" or "truth." So, Dogma is perverting the "truth" of the bible? Fucking nonsense - it's expressing beliefs that differ slightly from their own. I mean, really, if these people watch Crouching Tiger, do they warn against the fact that the people aren't Christian. What about The Last Starfighter - the bible doesn't say anything about video games or intergalactic war on far-away planets.
These are the type of people that ban Harry Potter books because they condone withcraft - as if a bunch of kids in CCD would make for an exciting series --
Jacob was still kicking himself for not knowing the seventh Sacrament, and it didn't help that Margaret wouldn't relent. "Annointing of the sick, silly!" she said, "I've known that when I was four, that means I'm four times better of a Catholic than you are."
"You're probably right," Jacob said. "I mean, I know I love the lord, sometimes I just don't get it."
Just then, Sister Wolnowski approached the two.
"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation," she said, peering at the pair through her wire-rimmed glasses, "and I want you to know, Jacob, that Jesus loves you even if you don't know the Seven Sacraments, but it is my duty as a servant of His Lord to make sure that you understand all of His law, completely. And Margaret, I think you should you should apologize for antagonizing Jacob, do you think Jesus would like to see you showing off?"
"No, Sister Wolnowski, I s'pose not," Margaret replied.
"Very well then," Sister Wolnowski added, then proceeded to make her way down the green-tiled hallway.
"Gee, Jacob, I'm sorry I was making fun of you - I'm sure you can get it next time." Margaret said, looking at the floor between her and Jacob's feet.
"Yeah, I'll get it next time, " Jacob said, and repeated the words "Annointing of the Sick" repeatedly under his breath as the two children walked toward the building's exit, and into the sunlight.
