Makes sense, especially in light of Azrael's monologue concerning Hell on the Dogma DVD, and how the hu-mans want to be punished.
Lovely connection with Gaiman's Sandman...which in turn has LOADS of connections to "Good Omens" - a splendid and highly enjoyable romp through the apocalypse. Just as with Dogma, the more you grok of actual religious history, the more you'll enjoy the piece presented.
