Agreed. I thought much the same thing the first time I saw Dogma. Also, when Azreal says demons can't transubstantiate, I thought of how Lucifer does alright when he gets Dream to cut his wings off. I'm not sure Lucifer qualifies as your run-of-the-mill demon, though.

: Lovely connection with Gaiman's Sandman...which in turn has LOADS of connections to "Good Omens" - a splendid and highly enjoyable romp through the apocalypse. Just as with Dogma, the more you grok of actual religious history, the more you'll enjoy the piece presented.
Also agreed. The difference between Good Omens and Sandman is that Good Omens, like Dogma, is pretty much based entirely on Christianity. Sandman encompasses more religions than just about anything I've ever read without actually being a part of any of them. It's one of the many aspects of the comic that really interested me.
