EVERYTHING!!!!
My God, this movie was awful. It was like sitting in traffic: Two and half hours of sitting in the same spot, and NOTHING going NOWHERE!!!! How is this one of the most popular DVDs right now is beyond me. It does make a pretty good MST3K movie though, just in case you do rent it.
And what is with all this artsy-fartsy cinematography Soderbergh was doing? Sepia lens on Mexico, blue lens on San Diego...Hey, how 'bout a rainbow lens for me puking my dinner up out of sheer boredom? And then with the grainy, shaky, Nissan-commercial, I-don't-need-a-stillcam, "Natural Born Killers" shit they were doing. So weak. Really awful.
The editor of this movie...lemme see...imdb.com....Steven Mirrione...ahh, well, seeing his credits, it's starting to make sense...but this jagoff should hang himself with the reels of film on the cutting room floor. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE IS NO FILM ON THE FLOOR, APPARENTLY....If they did actually edit this thing, I would hate to see WHAT THEY CUT!!!
Hell, you couldn't even enjoy Catherine Zeta-Jones-Douglas-"who's next?" in this, because she's all bloated and preggers....I mean, don't get me wrong, she is still the hottest pregnant lady on the planet, but hey, Catie, squirt the kid out, hit the treadmill and then get back with us, okay cupcakes?
Okay, I'm done. Continue on...
