You can talk all you want about how Tim Burton has a great visual style, and I'd agree with you, but if he has any above-average skill as a director, he's never shown it. I mean, look at every action sequence he's ever done. They're extremely amateurish, but he continues to put them in nearly every movie he does.

: Kevin's continuing tantrum about his Superman Lives script, while mildly amusing at first, has now firmly corrupted any respect and regard i once held for him. Tim Burton used an ending in Apes that evolves quite naturally from the Planet of the Apes book ending, and one that is just a national monument variation of the original movie ending. Kevin Smith is acting like a brat because Burton didn't like his script for Superman Lives, which makes sense to me since Burton and Kevin don't make the same type of movies by a longshot. I enjoy Kevin's movies very much but quite frankly Tim Burton is 10 times the film maker he is. Dogma may have been a beautiful and brilliant film, but Burton has a career made up of beautiful and brilliant films. Kevin should show a little respect. Burton's "rude" comment is totally justified when you consider all the bitching and complaining that Kevin has send his way since Superman Lives. Burton is surely sick of it, and now Kevin is crying "Burton stole my ideas." Lay off Tim Burton, Kevin. You're making yourself look bad and you're embarrassing a once-fan of yours.
