For me, there was a big difference between 12 and 14. At 12, I was still a kid. A kid who, like you, was a cuused of acting older than she was (I was offered alcohol in restaurants at age 14), but a kid nonetheless. At 14, I was hanging out with a bunch of adults; there's no way you couldn't start picking up on what was going on around you.
