Marky Mark *was* a messianic hero who lead his people to freedom. You did catch that part of the movie, right? Technically, he's the Prophet who proceeds the messiah since his little chimp buddy shows up to save Mark's homo sapien ass.
Maybe I'm jaded, believe me I've thought about it, but the movie just doesn't do it for me. The only useful criteria for a movie I know is whether I want to watch it again. If I see a movie and I walk out and there's this part of me thinking, "Hmm, I got time to catch the 9:30 showing", then it is a good movie. This movie, once you've seen it you've *seen* it.
