I thought it was rip-roaring fun. I liked Marky Mark's "dumb-ape" portrayal. I was afraid his character would become some messianic hero, leading the humans to salvation. In the end, he's really just a selfish little air force brat who wants nothing more than to get the hell outta there. He's a little jerk, and that's what I liked about the character. It wasn't too melodramatic.

And I thought the action was cool, Tim Roth and Charleton Heston kicked ass, and the pacing of the flick was spot-on.

Only things I didn't like were Bonham-Carter's make-up (too human-looking), the humans that all looked like they just came from the gym and the make-up trailer, and the fact that the humans spoke perfect, proper English.
