Ok, I'll try and recap what I was saying. The link was just to give you a ref on the universal rating system, just so you know I wasn't making it up.

Maybe I'm looking at this from too general a standpoint. The fact is, there are a lot of people in this country who think Hollywood, including the MPAA, is too permissive to begin with. Leibermann is just playing to the crowd. There is no unlimited Freedom of Speech. It doesn't exist. The political pressure from Leibermann, et al, will have the *practical* effect of causing a more stringent ratings structure to be put in place. That may be a simple as the MPAA tightening down even more. Is the MPAA arbitrary? No question. Fairness isn't the issue. Art isn't the issue. The issue is Commerce. The issue is Politics, and Hollywood's fear that if they don't do something, the Feds are going to do it for them. Unfortunately, I figure it is already too late.
