I was up there several weeks ago and I stopped to fuel up... the station was packed and I pull up to the pump, jump out, put my card in the machine and then this huge guy steps up to me with a huge wad of money. He asks what I want, in the Jersey accent and the only think going through my head was "Is this guy trying to sell me drugs at a packed gas station?" Not that I'd have minded it at all, just a little odd to be conducting such business around the masses. He pointed to the pump and I got what he was trying to say... but I was still very confused because I hadn't realized that I pulled into the full service lane - which now I suppose I hadn't. Well I went inside because I've never had someone pump my gas for me and I just felt like a tool standing there watching someone do something I could just as easily do myself. Well, I came back out before the pump was finished and the attentant was helping someone else so when it stopped I pulled it out, grabbed my reciept and headed back to my car... the attendant didn't like that one bit. Thanks for clearing that up... I thought I was just in a very fucked up Thornton's.
