A lot of you have been wondering about how to go about trading or selling your Vulgarthon tickets- for example, maybe you bought two tix, but it turns out you only need one, or there are three of you going, but one of you got a ticket for theater 2 and the others are in theater 1 and you want to try and swap a ticket with somebody so you can all be together, or perhaps you have tickets for Monday, but your best buddy in the whole wide world has (or will have) a ticket for Tuesday, and you can't bear to be seperated. Now, I know we initially said tickets are "non-transferable", but we realizde this is a bit harsh. We just don't want any scalping going on is all, so here's the deal.

Basically, if you are going to make a trade with somebody- say, John Jackson has tickets 45 and 46 on Monday, but wants to trade with Jack Smith who has tickets 345 and 346 on Tuesday, obviously John will be picking up Jack's tickets and vice versa- get in touch with each other via e-mail and agree to a trade, then individually e-mail ME- i.e., John e-mails me (at vpereira@monmouth.com) and says, "Jack Smith- jacksmith@hotmail.com- has tickets for theater 2 on Tuesday, I- johnjackson@yahoo.com- have tickets #45 and #46 for theater 1 on Monday, we want to trade." Jack sends me a similar e-mail ("John Jackson- johnjackson@yahoo.com- has tickets for theater 1 on Monday, I- jacksmith@hotmail.com- have tickets #345 and 346 for Tuesday, we want to trade."), and both of you include your ticket numbers in your e-mails to me. I then check our lists and confirm that both of you have the tickets in question, then e-mail you both and confirm the trade- "Jack Smith and John Jackson- you have traded tickets! Jack Smith's ticket numbers are now 45 and 46 for MONDAY, and John Jackson's ticket numbers are now 345 and 346 for TUESDAY." And that's it, the trade is complete, you guys just have to remember your new ticket numbers and pick up your tickets accordingly. We'll make the changes on our lists here so that the final pick-up envelopes reflect all the changes. When you trade tickets, remember that no money will be changing hands, it's just a straight up trade, so the only info that will be exchanged is the respective confirmation/ticket numbers so each party knows the new ticket numbers that they will be picking up, and including me in the trade will ensure that no hanky panky goes on and that these are legitimate trades and that everything runs smoothly. Remember, when you individually e-mail me, include BOTH of your e-mail addresses and your full names that the two of you are corresponding under so I can match up e-mails.

When it comes to selling tickets, the same as above must apply- I MUST be involved in the transaction so that I can verify the info for the buyer in particular so that they know the ticket is legit, and also so that I can modify our ticket lists accordingly. As far as exchange of money, you guys can handle that on your own- I'm guessing the buyer will send the seller a money order or something (for $60 per ticket- please, NO GOUGING- just be happy to get back what you paid for the ticket, because if we are informed of any gouging we'll just flat-out cancel your tickets and refund your money and resell them ourselves), that's fine- I don't want anything to do with the exchange of money between the parties, I just want to be a go-between when it comes to the exchange of the ticket INFO so that ticket pick-ups can go smoothly and the info on our pick up lists can be changed accordingly.

One important thing- DON'T give out your ticket info up front- any parties wanting to sell or trade tickets should get in touch with each other first BUT DON'T GIVE YOUR INFO TO EACH OTHER, just be very general like, "I have an extra ticket for theater 1 on Monday"- then e-mail me INDIVIDUALLY with your respective ticket info so that I can verify the ticket info on our lists, then I will e-mail both of you giving the go-ahead for the trade or sale and will give each of you your new ticket info.

Sound good?

Vincent
