Number one, do we really want to deal with a lot of under-21's running around where the main drinking and partying is going to be? Let's assume there was some kind of fuss on the part of the authorities...no doubt they enjoy having all this business once a year, but this is going to be two day's worth, plus the extra time people will linger, and they might get ticked off. I wouldn't go encouraging this. Too much potential for people to provide liquor to minors, too much incitement for the po-po to crack down. Not that I'm against under-21's drinking, but who wants a hassle.
The Red Roof has an 18 and over check-in policy, right? If I were under 21, I'd honestly just go the easier route and stay there (in fact, I'm probably going to stay there anyway...I like going to other people's parties, not sleeping in the middle of them, and I'm mobile). Plus, it will really tick the Holiday Inn people off if they know that a lot of business is going elsewhere. Holiday Inn is not doing well right now; no hotel chains are.
Go the route of least resistence! Who wants to get discovered and kicked out by Bob? And just out of curiosity, how big is this Morgan's place? Can it even fit 860 people, assuming that all those with tickets would want to attend?

: OK, here's the deal with the Under 21 check in restriction at the Inn:
: The 'business' idea won't work, so fuggetaboudit...
: I managed to get a pass, but only for our friends coming over from Britain. Shari told me to give her the names and she'll make sure they get checked in on the 4th. DON'T bring it up when you check in, just wait for them to say something if they even do. Either way, you guys are covered...
: As for the rest of you, there's no 100% guarantee, but after talking with Shari about it, I'm VERY certain that you can fly in under the radar. Try to get someone who's over 21 to sign up for the room and hand you the keys later - they can use a fake address or name even. If that's not happening, then just have ONE person - the OLDEST LOOKING one in your party - go up to the counter and check in. They don't ask for ID unless you LOOK underage, all they make you do is fill out the little postcard.
: I will also warn all of you to stay away from Bob who works at the front desk, as he is probably the only one who would card you. He's the 'LaFours' of the Tinton Falls Holiday Inn. I heard some of you have dealt with him already - he's a real dick...
: I also verified that at Morgan's they only card people AT THE BAR who look underage, so GETTING IN to the place is no problem. Morgan's closes AT 2AM PERIOD, and they can lose their liquor license if the cops see them open even a minute later. I have asked 500 different ways about getting them to stay open later then that, but it's NOT NEGOTIABLE. When 2AM hits, please take off, and have your 'after hours' plans made already so that nobody overhears you talking about where you're going. Got it???
: Shari has called in HUGE favors with the bosses over there, using the sheer volume of rooms we're renting and the repeat business as leverage. We've gotten the cheapest rate that they've given out in the past THREE YEARS, and whatever wacky rules they can LEGALLY change or bend for us, they have, so please don't ditch your plans to stay at the Inn unless you absolutely have to. If you have an issue, bring it to me and I'll iron it out as best I can. In my opinion, for the extra $10 a night over the Red Roof rate, it's worth it to be at the Inn where all the action is...
: Sound good???
