: Obiously, however, in J&SBSB they repeat the clerks joke ("Are you even supposed to be here today") and the signs are the same signs on the quickstop.
There are STILL a bunch of savages in that town. Locks can't be closed up with gum, twice? Or even a hundred times?
:but then, in the end, Allison (Joey Lauren Adams) talks about the whole thing in Chasing Amy. And there is no POSITIVE proof that J&SBSB happens after dogma. (jay only says one, "God herself") no timeline proof to that.
There is postive proof JSBSB happened after Dogma. A year after Chasing Amy, Banky Edwards is working on Baby Dave, and the Bluntman and Chronic comic has disappeared. A year after Chasing Amy is also the time Dogma took place. If there is a Bluntman and Chronic movie, then it has to have taken place after the ending sequence of Chasing Amy, and thus after the end of Dogma.
AND Bounce, American Pie, Bagger Vance and a slew or other movies referenced in the JSBSB came out after the time Dogma took place.
: oh, and another thing, when does Chasing Dogma (Kevin's Comics) start? in the middle of it all there's the diner scene from chasing amy and it ends in Dogma. and of course, in the middle there's the whoel suzzane story, which happens in J&SBSB. will someone explain that?
Chasing Dogma starts when Jay and Bob leave Chasing Amy. Kevin's just spoofing himself with the Chasing Dogma stuff in JSBSB. He tried to pack the movie with as many comic references as he could, and those scenes are references to his own comics. Although I have an extremely whacked out theory on that too, if you wanna read it the link is below.
