Interesting. Let me pose a question to you all. If Batman were not rich yet had access to familiar objects of defense and weaponry could he not still be 'Batman'? Take this idea for a ride. What if Bruce Wayne had ...say, a background in Special Forces in the military? Or did disposal of obsolete military equipment for buddies in the government. What if he owned his own business, say a salvage yard and had a strong mechanical background. He could set his own hours, he could 'make' all the equipment that he would use in crimefighting (Batmobile etc...) and have the contacts necessary to access to information.... just a few points to ponder.
