EMG-81's...extrememly cool dark pickups...um..i dunno..both seymour duncan and dimarzio make very cool high output pickups...just go to your local music store and start askin questions..also there is this new up and coming guitar company called tradition..that claims to have the loudest pickups made..i tried one, and they were pretty loud..as far as distortion pedals go, i dont use em anymore, but when i did it was the boss metal zone...i think the best tone out there for heavy type of music comes from the marshall valvestate amps..i got a valvestate 150 watt halfstack, and it sounds like f'kn godzilla...well worth every penny if ya ask me...bands like static-x and prong use em exclusively...try em out..
