I do agree with you on many points. I am of several differents races and like to think (on my black side) as MLK as a great man who should be respected.

I do agree that his message has been lost. I find many people using such leaders and beliefs as a way to get what they want. Using such slurs as "Whitey's keeping me down". And don't even get me started on Rodney King. That guys was fucking scum, but because he was overly attacked (which he was), they treated him like he's a fucking saint. Bull shit. And it was really sad. I was at the dentist the other day and a black man was complaining because he had missed his appointment and wanted to schedule a new one for Monday. The clerks said they were closed and couldn't give him an appointment. He was screaming "Oh, this is bullshit. It's cause I'm black." yadda-yadda-yadda... And then they said it was because it was MLK day. It's really sad that someone such as that person goes around, bitching about the world keeping him down, and he doesn't even remember what the black cause was all about. Oh, well... the whole world's messed up like that.

Anyway, I didn't mean anything by cracker. I used it because 1) I know it grabs attention and 2) Bernie Mac used it in a comedic sense to Matt Damon in Ocean's Eleven.

Enjoy your night.
