This is probably nitpicking but does this mean that if you aren't black that you shouldn't think of Martin Luther King as a great man?
My office doesn't observe MLKday because and I quote "We don't have any black people working here." I tried to make the point that you shouldn't have to be black to honor Martin Luther King. His dream was for everyone. But because I am as white as the day is long I couldn't say I'm not working today because I am observing MLKday. I would most likely lose my job. And people here claim to not be racist. It almost seems to me we're reverting back to the 50's only it's less out in the open.
Sorry about the rant it just sort of bothers me.
